SMS & messaging terms

Messages are sent from a US toll-free number, on behalf of chron.dog (a solo-developer project, currently in private beta). The first message you receive from Chrono will identify the host who invited you and Chrono himself.

Recipients are added to events only by hosts who confirm they have your permission. Hosts must indicate that consent before chron.dog will text you. We do not purchase, rent, or scrape phone-number lists.

You may opt out at any time by replying any of these keywords to a message from Chrono:

• STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END

Opt-outs are processed immediately. We'll stop messaging you across all future events. To resume receiving messages, reply START or SUBSCRIBE.

The initial friends-only test sends one invitation per event. Automated follow-up reminders are disabled until event-local quiet hours are fully enforced. Proposal and confirmation SMS are not yet available.

chron.dog does not charge recipients for messages. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

We collect only the information needed to coordinate scheduling: name (as provided by the host), phone number, the body of replies, and the event time zone chosen by the host. We do not sell recipient data. Microsoft Azure services process data to store events, deliver SMS, and parse availability.

Phone numbers and message bodies are retained during the private beta. A 30-day post-event retention target is planned, but automated purge is not yet enforced across every record type. Authenticated hosts can delete an event and its current event-scoped records from the event page. For participant-initiated deletion or verification, email hello@chron.dog.

We deliver messages through Microsoft Azure Communication Services. Carriers may filter, delay, or block messages at their discretion; chron.dog cannot guarantee delivery.
