chron.dog is a small private-beta scheduling assistant operated by a single developer. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Hosts: phone number (used for sign-in via one-time code), host display name, and the events you create.
- Participants: name and phone number provided by the host who invited you, the body of your replies, and the event time zone chosen by the host.
- Operational logs: timestamps, message provider IDs, and error traces. Phone numbers and reply contents are masked in logs.
How we use it
Solely to deliver the chron.dog scheduling experience: send invites, parse replies, and show proposed times to the host. We do not use your data to train models, sell to third parties, or build advertising profiles.
Where it lives
All data is stored on Microsoft Azure in the United States (Cosmos DB for structured data; Key Vault for secrets; Application Insights for masked telemetry). Azure Communication Services handles SMS delivery, and Azure OpenAI processes reply text to extract scheduling availability.
How long we keep it
- One-time login codes: a few minutes, then auto-purged.
- Event details, replies, and participants: retained during the private beta. A 30-day post-event retention target is planned, but automated purge is not yet enforced across every record type.
- Opt-out records: kept indefinitely so we never message you again unless you opt back in.
Your rights
You can email hello@chron.dog to request a copy of your data or request a correction. An authenticated host can delete an event and its participant, message, availability, and scheduled-job records directly from the event page. Email us for participant-initiated deletion or verification. Replying STOP to any message from Chrono blocks future SMS unless you opt back in.
