Privacy policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026

chron.dog is a small private-beta scheduling assistant operated by a single developer. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • Hosts: phone number (used for sign-in via one-time code), optional email, and the events you create.
  • Participants: name and phone number (or email) provided by the host who invited you, the body of your replies, and your inferred time zone based on those replies.
  • Operational logs: timestamps, message provider IDs, and error traces. Phone numbers and reply contents are masked in logs.

How we use it

Solely to deliver the chron.dog scheduling experience: send invites, parse replies, propose times, and confirm. We do not use your data to train models, sell to third parties, or build advertising profiles.

Where it lives

All data is stored on Microsoft Azure in the United States (Cosmos DB for structured data; Key Vault for secrets; Application Insights for masked telemetry). Communication Services handles SMS delivery.

How long we keep it

  • One-time login codes: a few minutes, then auto-purged.
  • Event details, replies, and participants: for the duration of the event plus a short audit window (typically 30 days).
  • Opt-out records: kept indefinitely so we never message you again unless you opt back in.

Your rights

You can email hello@chron.dog to request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Replying STOP to any message from Chrono opts you out across all future events immediately.
